This past week, Jamal Madison, a second semester undergraduate research assistant here at the FF-TIP Lab, provided us with an exciting update regarding his current research project. His study looks at the effects of peer influence on suicide risk assessment. Two Oakland University med students joined the lab for his presentation to discuss what the next phase of his project might look like.

The discussion regarding the next phases of this project centered around the study’s design and what other potential factors could be considered besides the ones that are being investigated currently. For example, Jamal’s study utilizes is an online vignette survey. However, what might this study look like using a different method of data collection? The discussion was extremely productive and we look forward to hearing about the results of the current research as well as discovering what future versions of this study will look like!
