Welcome New Members!

This 2024 Fall semester, the FF-TIP Lab will be welcoming four new members!

Marina is a first-year PhD student with an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in both Psychology and Biology from the University of Toronto. She became interested in the FF-TIP Lab due to Dr. Taku’s cross-cultural research as well as her work on traumatic and major life events. Marina’s current research interests include non-romantic relationships from an evolutionary perspective, understanding the nuances of when people cooperate and when there is conflict, and cross-cultural comparisons. She hopes to apply her research to develop community resources and interventions. Marina can be reached at marinamorris@oakland.edu.

Samantha is a first-year Master’s student with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a minor in Communications from Oakland University. Her previous research focused on cognition, memory, and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. By joining the FF-TIP Lab, Samantha aims to build on her previous research interests and explore new areas of research. After completing this program, she plans to pursue a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. Samantha can be contacted at hart3@oakland.edu.

Katie has joined the FF-TIP Lab as a B.A./M.S. student, majoring in psychology and minoring in German language. Katie joined the lab to gain research skills and to start working on research related to educational psychology. She will begin working on her Honors College thesis this year and is planning to work with changes in academic motivation. After receiving her Masters, Katie hopes to continue her education to become an educational psychologist. She can be reached at katherineromzek@oakland.edu.

Gina Reyes is currently a junior at Oakland University majoring in psychology with a minor in both Christianity Studies and Writing. After completing her undergraduate degree, Gina plans to attend graduate school and continue work in psychology research. Gina can be reached at ginareyes@oakland.edu.
