Jamal’s Wrap-Up Presentation

Recently, in the FF-TIP lab, senior undergraduate student Jamal Madison presented his current research on suicide risk assessment, focusing on the differences between medical students and undergraduates.

Before presenting his current study, Jamal addressed the current issue of suicide in the United States, sharing current statistics within the trends. He then provided detailed background information for his study, indicating how challenging it is to predict a patient’s intent to die by suicide.

Jamal went on to present his hypotheses regarding the decision of discharge for a patient with potential suicide risks. He took time to cover his methods, participants, vignettes, results, and future directions in detail before concluding his presentation.

Jamal is planning to submit this study to a peer reviewed journal soon, and we are very proud of all the hard work he has dedicated to his research and the FF-TIP lab! Jamal gave an excellent presentation, and we will continue our collaboration.
