During the first two weeks of this fall semester, Dr. Hirokazu Arai from Hosei University in Japan visited the FF-TIP lab at Oakland University! He joined two of our lab meetings to present the continuation of a research journey we were introduced to during last year’s visit, to which we were able to, once again, discuss in depth.
During both presentations, Dr. Arai explored ideas such as what work-life balance really means, how sports and academics can be integrated to mutually strengthen one another, and how coaches and athletes can embrace their diversity while maintaining their individuality. The lab engaged in very interesting discussions and were able to give Dr. Arai some suggestions and ideas for future research in these topics.

We are very grateful for the opportunity to learn about such amazing research and we can’t wait to see what path Dr. Arai takes with it!
