Griefbots, Microaggressions, and Birthday Cake!

Last week’s FF-TIP Lab meeting was filled with research, inspiring + thought-provoking discussion, and CAKE! We started off the meeting by celebrating the birthdays of Taylor, Paxton, and Katie and then jumped into two Step-Back presentations.

Paxton and Katie presented a Step-Back on their ongoing Griefbot study, which explores perceptions of using artificial intelligence to help individuals cope with grief and loss.

Next, Ana presented a Step-Back on her study examining how immigrants interpret ambiguous discrimination and microaggressions. This study explores the point at which individuals recognize an interaction as discriminatory and whether different levels of structural support may play an influential role.

It was another exciting and productive lab meeting. Happy birthday again to Taylor, Paxton, and Katie!!!
